WDM Elks #2752 presents $2000 check to the Urbandale Food Pantry!

On December 21st, Toby Charloe, Secretary and Anna Marie Nielsen , Exalted Ruler presented the ENF Spotlight Grant worth $2,000 to the Urbandale Food Pantry. The Urbandale Food Pantry was very appreciative of our generous donation. Executive Director, Patty Sneddon-Kristing stated that they receive new families to their pantry on a daily basis and are seeing record high numbers. Yes, some of these new families are from the Clive location  which is currently under reconstruction due to a fire. The Urbandale Food Pantry currently serves approximately 900 to 1200 people per month. At this time, their numbers have definitely surpassed the numbers from a year ago. The cash donation will allow them to purchase personal hygiene items, eggs, milk, diapers and other items not covered with the SNAP cards which are used to purchase many food items. Executive Director Patty Sneddon-Kristing commented that they would be unable to tackle the  food insecurity in Central Iowa without our support and generous donation of $2,000,  Thank-you WDM Elks Lodge #2752 for sharing the ENF Spotlight Grant with the Urbandale Food Pantry.
