Chris Elsberry is 46 years old and has been a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks since 2000, joining Boone lodge #563 then transferring to Des Moines Lodge #98 in 2004.
He has served as Lecturing Knight (2004), Loyal Knight (2005), Leading Knight (2006) and Exalted Ruler (2007). After being Exalted Ruler, Chris went onto the Lodge Trustees for 5 years. He served as the SW Vice President in 2012, Esquire to the District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler in 2013 and was SW District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler in 2014. He then went on to serve as the Youth Activities Chairman for 3 years before taking the lead as the Leading Knights Division Chair in 2018. He was then selected as the Iowa Elks Association State President-Elect in 2022.
The State motto for this Year is “Swing Into Elkdom.”
We need to continue to set the standard for other organizations to follow through our community involvement and charitable works. We need to promote the ELKS like never before. With your leadership and mindset, I know we can accomplish this.
